British tennis champion Andy Murray has invested in a further two companies on crowdfunding site Seedrs, expanding his investment portfolio to over 20 companies.

Murray, who is the top seeded tennis player in the world, has supported the crowdfunding site for nearly two years, ploughing money into many of the investment opportunities offered. His latest two investments are tech startup Den and helmet company Morpher.

Murray said of his latest investments: “Den is exactly the kind of innovative smart technology households around the globe will utilise in the future, and Morpher is a product that the modern cyclist should own – one that has been dutifully perfected by an award-winning inventor.”

Den is a smart home system enabling users to turn off appliances and light switches from the smartphone device, and has now raised more than £2.1 million on Seedrs from more than 1,150 investors. Morpher produce foldable, less cumbersome cycle helmets designed to encourage more cyclists to wear them. Their campaign has so far raised more than £659,000 in total from almost 400 investors.
