Amazon is offering a £1,000 joining bonus for warehouse staff as it hopes to attract new staff.
The group “urgently” needs new warehouse and packing staff to meet the huge demand across the UK.
Amazon is offering the bonus to staff who are hired between now and September 18. New employees are being offered £11.10 an hour, which increases to £22.20 an hour for overtime.
Brexit and self-isolation rules have led to hiring troubles for many firms where there is a shortage of lorry drivers and other staff.
Firms such as Tesco and Asda are also offering a £1,000 joining bonus for lorry drivers.
