Trump reaches new levels in his presidency battle with Clinton

The US Secret Service made a statement on Twitter following presidential candidate Donald Trump’s speech appearing to encourage gun owners to shoot Hillary Clinton.

In his most outrageous declaration yet, Trump claimed there was “nothing you can do, folks” to stop Clinton picking Supreme Court justices.” He then added that for Second Amendment people – those agreeing with the US Constitutional right to own guns – “maybe there is”.

His chilling comments provoked a Twitter reaction from the US Secret Service, who said they were “aware of the comments made earlier this afternoon”. Despite no mention of the comments to which they were referring, many on Twitter believed it was obvious.

Trump’s aides have since said that he was joking in his speech.
