What should we expect from the iPhone 7?

With just a month to go until Apple reveals its latest model, speculation is rife over which features will stay – and which will be given the boot.

According to reliable resources reported by Bloomberg, several key features will change. It will, however, stay roughly the same size as the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, running on the new iOS 10 operating system.

New camera

Rumours suggest that the new iPhone will feature a completely-redesigned camera which will use two lenses, taking a photograph with both and integrating them into one for better quality photos.

Redesigned home button

Sources suggest that Apple’s home button, a feature of the iPhone since the very first model, will be discontinued, allowing the screen to cover the entire front. The button will be replaced with a touchpad that can simulate a physical click, similar to that on the latest MacBook line.

Removal of the headphone jack

This has been the most publicised change rumoured to take place on the iPhone 7, instead allowing users to use Bluetooth headphones or those that plug into the lightening port. Whether headphones will come with the new iPhone, as they have with all previous models, is uncertain.

The iPhone is expected to look similar to the current model, however, and be roughly the same size. It will be released in September, with the 16th being the rumoured date.
