The app hopes to take advantage of the running market, currently the most popular form of exercise.

“The global fitness app market is forecast to grow at a CAGR of 31.35% during the period 2016-2020. This rapid growth has been driven by an increase in female runners, new ‘fun’ running events, and new activity-tracking and social media technologies.”

The team anticipate an exit within 3-5 years which they feel may come from a fitness apparel company wanting to expand into Virtual Races, a tech company aiming to integrate wearable or fitness devices with Virtual Race experiences, or a health/fitness chain or running events company diversifying into virtual events.

Founder and CEO, Adrian Hon hopes to raise £400,000 on the crowdfunding platform within the next 29 days. Very possible, given Six to Start have already raised almost £120,000.

Having already been nominated second most innovative fitness in the company and having an expected turnover of £1.29 million, the app will most likely have little trouble completing their target goal.

Six to Start have raised 29 percent of their total and offer an equity of 3.23 percent.
