Donald Trump appeared on CBS 60 Minutes on Sunday night with his wife and four children in his first televised interview since his victory, to speak about his plans and opinions for America’s future.
Trump spoke aboute a variety of topics including Hilary Clinton, migration policies and his capability for the role.
While urging protesters to not be afraid of his presidency, Trump declared his plans to “immediately” deport two to three million undocumented immigrants.
This is no surprise when the President warned US citizens on the first day of his campaign about Mexican migrants who were “rapists” and “criminals”, and said throughout his campaign that migrants are “pouring across the border”. This is contrary to research that shows how net migration has been level for years, and more Mexican migrants are leaving the US than entering it.
“What we are going to do is get the people that are criminal and have criminal records, gang members, drug dealers, where a lot of these people, probably two million – it could be even three million – we are getting them out of the country or we are going to incarcerate,” the new President told 60 Minutes.
Trump went on to discuss his plans for the wall he plans to build between the US and Mexico.
“There could be some fencing,” he said. “For certain areas, I would [accept a fence], but certain areas, a wall is more appropriate. I’m very good at this, it’s called construction,” the former businessman told CNS.
“Don’t be afraid. We are going to bring our country back,” he added.
When discussing reports of harassment and intimidation of minorities and how they have spiked since his election, Trump said he was “saddened”.
“I think it’s horrible if that’s happening,” he said. “I think it’s built up by the press because, frankly, they’ll take every single little incident that they can find in this country, which could’ve been there before. If I weren’t even around doing this, and they’ll make into an event because that’s the way the press is.”
Since Trumps election earlier this week, Neo-Nazi Andrew Anglin wrote in Daily Stormer:

“The White race is back in the game. And if we’re playing, no one can beat us. The winning is not going to stop.”
Trump has since condemned the page.
Since meeting Obama, who Trump has previously referred to as “the worst president in history”, Trump has since changed his view.
“I found him to be very smart and very nice. Great sense of humour.”
